Spring Service Day 2019

May 19th, 2019
Locations dependent on project.

On Sunday, May 19, the Martin Richard Foundation will bring families and communities together in service at our annual Spring Service Day.

The theme for this year's Spring Service Day is creating a better world for young people. Our projects will focus on positively impacting youth populations who may find themselves in need of extra support. The mission of the Martin Richard Foundation -- to help young people learn, grow and lead through volunteerism and community engagement -- will be brought to life through several service projects managed and executed by young people, for young people.

For the first time, the Service Village portion of our Spring Service Day will be hosted at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate in Columbia Point, with several satellite projects throughout Dorchester that bring our volunteers directly to the sites that could use our support.

One of the most unique aspects of our service days is the opportunity for entire families to serve together. We believe that exposing families to service helps to continue a dialogue at home about the impact we can all make in our communities by taking action.

Throughout our Spring Service Day, volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the organizations they are supporting, and the direct impact their work will have in the lives of young people who need the support.

There are no shifts available at this time.
